Hi friends,
I love songwriting. I love the history of it. The mystery of it. Every single thing about it.
I even love the challenge of making a living as a singer-songwriter. Artists these days are forced to spend more time focused on booking shows, on social media, on “content creation”, on the grind of being seen—rather than on the craft that is the driving force underneath all the tasks.
I created the New England Songwriters Retreat as a respite, and as a way to remind people of the artist inside themselves. The concept is to expose them to a group of accomplished touring songwriters, to see up close and personal how these artists think about the creative process and writing songs. In addition to myself, we have this stellar lineup: Lynn Miles, Vance Gilbert, Seth Glier, Laurie MacAllister of Red Molly, and Eben Pariser!
It’s an intensive weekend to get inspired, build community, and a learn a thing or two. Our attendees are professionals, novices, and everything in between. I hope you’ll join us!
