Ellis Paul's music has been featured in numerous blockbuster and independent films (Me, Myself, and Irene; Shallow Hal; Hall Pass; The Legend of Lucy Keyes, to name a few) and he has been covered and cowritten with major stars in the country world (Sugarland, Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles, and Jack Ingram) and folk world (The Burn Sisters, Woody Guthrie post mortem by invitation of the family, Laurie MacAllister).

2016 The Ellis Paul story song Cowrite "Blaine's Ferris Wheel" with Jack ingram, appears on Jack's album Midnight Motel.

2016 Ellis wrote the song "Grace" for the movie All In Time.

2015 The film Nellie Bly: 10 Days In A Madhouse featured Ellis' song "Nellie Bly" over the ending credits
