Hello there friends,
I’ve had an interesting month that has made me grateful, given me empathy for folks with chronic pain, and made me realize I still have so much to do, and lastly, you never know when your life will be met by tough challenges. Get things done now ?
In Oklahoma three weeks ago, I strained my chest muscle while exercising which triggered a nerve in my back, which radiaited outwardly with severe pain and numbness to my right arm and hand. I want to let everyone know I am fine, it wasn’t heart related and most of the trouble is gone.
I had left a humorous accounting of the whole story with a couple of emergency/urgent care trips and some stumbling shows on facebook. Which was TMI, because I then received, lovingly, all sorts of medical advice from dry needling to tuning forks! I am better, and the worst of those symptoms have passed! I am feeling good. ? Please stop doctoring me.
This weekend I return to both new places and old!
AUGUST SHOWS AND NESR RETREAT
Club Passim show on Friday! This is the only Boston area performance of the summer, so come on out and beat the heat ? Club Passim is where I got my start back in 1989, opening for the legendary John Gorka and Sarah Hickman on a Sunday radio show. In 1989! Not a bad way to start. I just saw John last weekend, and he paid me the best of compliments, “I remember when we met. You sounded like nobody else, except yourself, even back then. And then I heard a bunch of people who sounded like you not long after.” I still sound like me. But older. Wiser. With less hair. Better looking. Get your tickets HERE.
The following day (Saturday) I'll be performing in Newburyport for the very first time at the Firehouse Center for the Arts. I hope I get to play here for the next 36 years like at Club Passim! Get your tickets HERE.
And then on Sunday I do two separate shows - at 2pm I'll be at The Old Vienna Reunion at the Sanctuary in Maynard, MA and then at 6pm I'll be doing an evening show in Berwick, Maine at the Hackmatack Playhouse. ? Busy ? !!
