Feb. 19 in EP Music History Trivia
Hi Folks,
On Feb. 19, 1999 I attended and EP show at Schubas in Chicago. Don Conoscenti played with Ellis and did one of his own songs as noted below. It's always a treat to re-visit the setlist from past shows. "Everything's Broken" and "Changing your name" were heard that night. Wow.
The setlist from 9 years ago today:
Take Me Down
Beautiful World
Everything’s Broken
Changing Your Name
The World Ain’t Slowing Down
Anastasia [Don Conoscenti]
The Martyr’s Lounge
3,000 Miles
Conversation with a Ghost
Look at the Wind Blow
Seize the Day
Angel in Manhattan
She Loves A Girl
[poem] Tornado Girl
Comes A Time
Seven
Weightless
Translucent Soul
Never Lived At All
Anyone want to take a guess what I heard for the first time that night?

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

whew!!!
The trivia contest continues.....YEAH!!!
Figured you may have heard it before this show.
I've heard Ellis do it live.....and love his version of the song.
I'm going to give others a chance to get in on this one.
Great trivia question....thanks.

If so...I'm thinking I know which song it might be.

Gosh...was I ever wrong. I was thinking the only song that seemed out of place and therefore possibly a first was the older harmonica driven song.
Hmmn....

Oops....I missed Wendy's guess. Sadly, she's wrong!
OK....here's your final clue. Re-read what I initially asked.
