Happy Hanukkah!

Postby KarenZ » Fri Dec 15, 2006 10:55 am

To all the members of the board who celebrate Hanukkah, a happy 8-day Festival of Lights celebration to you all! :)

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

I'm looking forward to stuffing myself silly with HOMEMADE latkes. Yummy. And a kitchen full of people all talking really loudly at the same time. My youngest has been hoping for gimel all week.

My son, last year, was sure he wanted to be Jewish, once he heard about the tradition his friends were celebrating, whereby they recieved gifts for 8 nights in a row. :D

Have yet to convince him to try latkes.....that he'd surely like them.

Oh well.....more for me. :D

Happy Hanukkah.
