Naked Folk Calendar 2007

Postby KarenZ » Wed Dec 06, 2006 8:49 am

Folks,

The third annual NAKED FOLK calendar for 2007 is a fundraising project to supplement the cost of health insurance for musicians. Musicians who have "exposed" themselves to photographer Jayne toohey this year include Karen Mal, Taxi Chain, (Grier Coppins, Josh Hicks, Dennis Mohammed, Ayron Mortley, Jim Bish), Freebo, The Red Dirt Rangers (John Cooper, Brad Piccolo, Ben Han), John Flynn, Kate Gaffney, Jimmy LaFave, LisaBeth Weber & Maggie Marshall, Lowen & Navarro, Stephane Wrembel, Antje Duvekot (Antje is Miss November) ;) and The Four Bitchin' Babes, (Debi Smith, Sally Fingerett, Deirdre Flint, Nancy Moran).

Each 12x12 calendar is high quality black&white and provides photos of the performers listed above along with their birthdays and bios. The calendar also lists folk festivals in the U.S. and Canada.

Calendars are $20.00 plus $5 shipping. See Naked Folk Calendar for ordering options.

Jayne Toohey is a freelance photographer from Media, Pennsylvania.

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

That is a gorgeous photo of Antje! Do we still have that photo of when Ellis graced that calendar's hallowed pages? hehehe What year was that, anyway?
