May the road rise up to greet you, the wind always be at your back and may you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil realizes you're dead.

I've been listening alot to Kim Taylor since seeing her open for Ellis on Oct. 28....have been alternating Kim's CD I feel like a fading light with Ellis Paul Essentials and Mark Erelli's Hope and Other Casualties. Just yesterday I got in the mail a Jack Harris CD that a friend sent me so I listened to part of it on this morning's commute. He's British (I think) and reminded me a bit of Dougie MacLean....very nice...

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Jack Harris is from Wales. He's a regular at Twick Folk. We've seen him play once - seem to remember he supported Jeffrey Foucault last year.
You can find out more on his web site

Thanks Jela! I thought maybe (if he were British!) that you'd have heard of him!

Jela, Thanks for the link to Jack Harris' website today. Have seen his name before - likely New Folk Winner at Kerrville....but knew little more.
His short bio on the front page is enough to have my interest, especially the Quotes by fans such as Eric Taylor and Eliza Gilkyson.

I am currently listening to Led Zeppelin's Remasters.....again and again and again. Some of the best music ever in my book.
Also, Willy Porter's Available Light (okay, I'm a broken record).
And since I loaned out my Essentials to a close friend for a couple days, I am in need of getting it back, but that would be there too.
Also, Sufjan Stevens Illinoise outtakes...wow to anything he does.
