Today (Oct. 2) in EP Music History Trivia

"If I fell down on my knees
If I came to you pleading
Would you take me as I am
Your touch is all I'm needing" -- Ellis Paul

It was 3 years ago today that Ellis Paul and Vance Gilbert brought their Side of the Road tour to the Club Cafe in Pittsburgh. Ellis opened the show with the lines of lyric above...from a song that was in the opening slot for a time....but alas, like many others before it, seems to have gone to Ellis Paul heaven. (Along with "this old car" to name but one!) ;)

Can you name the song containing the lyrics above? Click here for answer.

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

I believe that's "Give In, Give Up." That song still gets regular play on my stereo though. I think that's the first song Ellis plays on the 3000 Miles DVD concert footage too. :D
