Happy Birthday 2011 Ellis Paul!

Postby KarenZ » Fri Jan 14, 2011 1:10 pm

Happy Birthday Mr. Paul! :)

According to Wikipedia, these notable persons were born on the same exact day!

1965 – Shamil Basayev, Chechen rebel (d. 2006)
1965 – Marc Delissen, Dutch field hockey player
1965 – Bob Essensa, Canadian ice hockey player
1965 – Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, British chef

And music producer T-Bone Burnett was born on this date in 1948.

If only Mia Marie could have held-off another 7 days! :)

It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Yes Happy Birthday!

Gorgeous photo of baby Mia :o)

Over here we call Hugh F-W 'Hugh fearlessly eats it all' - he's one of the best chefs on TV. In fact I bought his latest book for Richard for Christmas.

Fun ensued on facebook to help commemorate:

Michael Clem:
Come celebrate Ellis Paul's birthday tonight at the Birchmere! He won't be there, though.

Ellis Paul:
Come celebrate Eddie From Ohio's 20th Anniversary at Ellis Paul's show at the Narrows Center in Fall River, MA! Eddie From Ohio will not be there.

I used to turn to a section of The Houston Post to find a list of famous people born on that day. It was fun to look on someone you knew's birthday. My sister, James Taylor. My mom, George Washington. Mine, Steve Winwood. Ellis, you know you're getting older. Roll with it. :P

Okay, I'm feeling a little out of the loop, here.

Who is Mia Maria?

When I mentioned this to Pam, she surmised that it was likely Mason's newborn baby sister. I said I didn't think so, but you know what they say:

Men smart, woman smarter!

Karen?

I've been a a bad grandma. I haven't been as vocal about Mia Marie's impending arrival as I was with her older brother Mason. Pam is right - Mason is a big brother now. :)

When I ask Mason who sings "wabi sabi" he answers "sabi". I'm working on that. :)

Pioneers get most of the credit with townsfolks rememembering them every time they mention the name of a region, state, city, or town they may be talking about in passing. Mason pioneered you to Grammahood.

Welcome Mia Maria, some catching up to do sure, but mark my words:

Brother smart, sister smarter!

Congrats Karen!!!
