Watercolor Cafe - Larchmont, NY - Aug. 8, 2010 (pix)
Watercolor Cafe Show, Larchmont, NY on August 8th - Part 1. We traveled 175 miles with our handmade props in hand to the show. The show was intimate, dark and lots of fun... at they all are. We were lucky enough to get our requests played. Ellis even stopped the show for 5 minutes to go out to his car and get the words for Clarity, just in case. They were still there from the 20th Anniversary Passim shows.

Very cute... the props def. deserved getting you to hear your requests.

Glenn,
Thanks for the photos! Such ingenuity! I think props should be required for all requests! It could be great fun!

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Props to the guy who created the props and drove them at the new Speed of Trees - 65mph for 3-1/2 hours. Ellis even said the pine tree reminded him of being back in Maine after he got pine sap all over his hand, and he also referred to it as perfect for a Charlie Brown Christmas. Their creativity definitely convinced Ellis to play both requests, which added to the fun of the concert. Thanks
