Your EP Top Ten Songs

Postby bonuela » Fri Aug 29, 2008 1:49 pm

This weekend in Vermont, Ellis asked which 10 of his songs were our favorites.

I am still thinking about mine, what are yours?

I am still working on my Top Ten, but without any hesitation, Maria's Beautiful Mess is my number 1!!

I dream of being like Maria. So self assured that I am always happy just being me. I am working on that, but for her it seems to come naturally.

I also love the guitar on this song. The transition between the strumming and the picking* is so dramatic.

*or the vnadkfjhg and the abhfldij as we learned during our guitar lesson in VT

Maria is my #1 too!

After that, they're all tied for #2. (Way too much work for my weary brain!.....Maybe I'll think about that another day......at Tara.....) :)

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.
