Reviews of The Dragonfly Races
Folks,
Once you start getting those copies of Dragonfly Races in your hands, please do try to post some reviews on Amazon, etc. like we did for Essentials - then let us know here! Or is you find any reviews posted online anywhere, let us know!
In the meantime, I'm gonna get this thread started with a link to Scott Alarik's review from yesterday's Boston Globe.

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Folks,
Please note that this Spread the News Forum is for Internet-related strategies to spread the news about Ellis' music. Keep general comments about Dragonfly Races in the thread for the new CD in the Breakin' thru the Radio Forum.
I'm going to lock this thread until we can start posting reviews of the CD on Amazon, etc. Then we will report our efforts here as we did for Ellis Paul Essentials.
Thanks for helping to keep all this information organized!

The Dragonfly Races
By Ellis Paul
Black Wolf Records
All ages; $15
Ellis Paul’s entrance into the family/children’s music genre marks a refreshing masterpiece. Taking inspiration from his two daughters, this dynamic folk singer delivers a project so sophisticated that at first spin you might not recognize it as a kid’s record, musically speaking. Paul’s unique turn of a phrase is creative and insightful. Coupled with the earthy, acoustic soundtrack, The Dragonfly Races provides a rich, soulful listening experiencethat gives young ears an appreciation for a music format that might not otherwise engage them. — chad young
