Today (July 6) in EP Music History Trivia

Postby KarenZ » Fri Jul 06, 2007 8:57 am

It was one year ago today that Ellis began a 4-show string of pre-WoodyFest shows starting at the Mucky Duck in Houston, Texas. The following night (July 7) he performed at Uncle Calvin's Coffeehouse in Dallas, Texas with the artist pictured above along with other Woody Fest performers Corinne West and Kate McLeod. The artist pictured above also opened for Ellis the next night at the Cactus Cafe in Austin. The 4-show string ended at Andrews Park in Norman, OK on July 9.

Can you name the artist pictured above? His new CD Pretty World will be released in the UK on July 16 and in the US on August 7. Click HERE for answer.

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

I know, too...

"things change....they change alot"

Ellis was covering his song "things change" alot.

In this photo of ??? I see a resemblance to another songwriter from Texas who once in awhile shaves off his beard but mostly sports
one of the most recognizeable beards in the music business.

Anyone else see the resemblance to Willie Nelson???
