Today (Feb. 15) in EP Music History Trivia
The picture above was taken 6 years ago today - Feb. 15, 2001 - after a show at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick, Maryland. The show was a co-bill with the artist pictured with Ellis. Do you recognize him? Click below for answer.

Other trivia: The day before (Feb 14) and this show were the 1st and 2nd times for me to hear "The Ballad of Chris McCandless". Oo-la-la.

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

I'd know that face anywhere! It's Ellis' best friend.
He's a citizen of the world as I recall him singing.
I saw him at Kerrville one year....and once on tour with Ellis when they were out promoting Side Of The Road.....which, coincidently, I've been hearing alot of today as I shuffle through a few discs.
Amazing artist.
