Pictured above is the cover of the very first issue of Rolling Stone Magazine published on this date in 1967. The photo of John Lennon was a still taken from the movie "How I Won the War".

Can anyone name an Ellis Paul song that mentions Lennon by name? (Not the Beatles.) ;)

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

That sounds like homework...and my computer is on the fritz at home now too. Gotta love the local libraries. Computers by the dozens.

I'm scratchin my head on another song with John Lennon.

I know Dylan got high with The Beatles......but you said no Beatles.

Hmmnn.....it's old I'll bet........ Circa : Urban Folk Songs or Am I Home.
