May 24 in EP Music History Trivia

Postby KarenZ » Mon May 24, 2010 11:49 am

Folks,

Gee. It doesn't look like I've ever had a trivia quiz to commemorate Bob Dylan's birthday. Such an oversight. ;)

Since we did so well coming up with EARTH songs on Earth Day, let's see if we can come up with DYLAN songs for Bob Dylan's birthday.

I can think of four Ellis Paul songs that mention Dylan by name, but there may be others. If you can name one, please post it here. :)

It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

The first one that popped into my head was:

Jukebox on my grave

You can hear Hank Williams
some George Jones
some Beatles songs
some Dylan
some Rolling Stones....

Nice trivia Karen.

Since I seemed to have stumped the panel, the remaining two songs that mention Dylan are:

"Sweat on the back seat, Dylan on the radio" from "Seventeen Septembers"
"She's got pictures on her wall of Dylan and Presley" from "Urban Girlfriend"

:)
