April 16 in EP Music History Trivia

Postby KarenZ » Thu Apr 16, 2009 6:39 am

Folks,

As I mentioned in yesterday's trivia, back in 2005 BeckyG and I continued driving east from Bethlehem, PA for a show the following day in Wayne, NJ featuring EP and the two singer-songwriters pictured with him below. The female was one of the artists mentioned in both the USA Today article and the Boston Globe articles about CD fundraisers earlier this week. Any guess on the names of the two musicians pictured below with EP?. BTW....it was a MAH-VEL-OUS show. :) (Although I was using my old camera then that hardly ever shot a non-blurry photo.)

It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Is it Alice Peacock, I thought?
Is it Amelia Spicer, perhaps?

It's none other than LA based singer songwriter Jill Sobule singing with Vance Gilbert and Ellis Paul. 8)

Nice going Bonnie and Paddy! :) (Bonnie, it is kinda difficult recognizing Vance without the big hair.) ;)
