Today (Aug. 2) in EP Music History Trivia

Postby KarenZ » Wed Aug 02, 2006 8:21 am

Image

The infamous "Kiss" pucker pose above was taken at the Ram's Head Tavern in Annapolis, MD. by Bill Eley on Aug. 2, 2000. :)

The show was actually a co-bill with the fabulous guitarist pictured below.

There are guitarists, there are axe-wielding maniacs, and then there are wizards. [Blank] is one of the wizards. He has enough technique to do just about anything he wants, but also the sensitivity to honour the contours of a melody. - Philadelphia Enquirer, Aug. 5, 2000

Can you name the guitarist pictured above? He blew me away, that's for sure. :)

You'll find the answer here.

Karen, just noticed your signature is back to old forum style, right?

Uh, I have very lil idea who this man is based upon the photo or the writeup and right now I can't recall if your trivia question said he opened for Ellis or shared the stage With Ellis or maybe both.

Anyway, my guess is still the same. Is it Duke Levin ?

Paddy, no it's not Duke Levine. Good guess, though. :)

Also....not sure why you said you couldn't recall what my post said. When you're composing a reply, if you scroll down the page you're on, you will see a Topic Review box/window that you can also scroll in where you can read/see all the earlier posts in the thread (to refresh your memory).

Oh, quite right about being able to see. I was taking artistic license there I'm afraid. If I peeked at the photo caption again, I might not have been able to guess Duke Levine, and I really wanted it to be him.

Thanks for the tips tho, I usually totally need them.
