Good morning,
" 'Life is what happens when you're busy making plans' "
That's what John Lennon said then he quit the f*ing band" -- Ellis Paul
Hard to believe that today is the 28th anniversary of John Lennon's death.
Anyone know the title of the EP song containing the lines of lyric above? Might be nice to meditate on Lennon's lyrics below today....
KarenZ
Imagine (John Lennon)
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Dec. 8 in EP Music History Trivia
"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Every so often these words come to mind when I'm busy making plans.....when they do I often take pause.
It is hard to believe it's been that long ago.
The song title is on the tip of the tongue......but escapes me at the moment.

It's from 'Live in the Now' ........John Lennon's death is one of those events when you always remember where you were when you heard the news.
I was at work, in a Bank, and the wife of one of my colleagues phoned to tell him the news....none of us could believe it when he then relayed the sad news to us all.
