Boston - Dec. 30-31, 2008

Postby KarenZ » Sun Jan 04, 2009 10:21 am

Folks,

The lighting in Passim was awful, so this was the best I could do. The spotlight above Don's head was burned out so he was in near darkness. I'm certain Richard will post better ones! :)

Passim - 7pm show - Dec. 30, 2008

Passim - 10pm show - Dec. 30, 2008

Hynes Convention Center - 3:30pm kids' show - Dec. 31, 2008

Passim - 7pm show - Dec. 31, 2008

Passim - 10pm show - Dec. 31, 2008

Enjoy! :)

My small contribution of images from the 10:00pm New Year's Eve show... as promised to a sweet couple seated at the left front table facing the stage. Next time I'll have to try that fresh mozzarella pizza you guys ordered, though I certainly had no complaints surrounding my grilled cheese selection! :P

Note: Just the first two shots were taken at Passim. (I vow to edit and upload several more as soon, schedule permitting.) The rest of the pics in this portfolio are from the Joyful Noise Coffeehouse in Lexington, MA, where I have volunteered in the past.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves:
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel secure around you.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others."

Wow, thank you for the accolades everyone, I never expected such a grand reception! Aww, they left out the *blushing* emoticon...

Thank you again, you guys are the sweetest!

I have three more cover letters to write, and one thank-you note to send off, before I can once again surrender to the grips of Photoshop CS4. Not that I have to say the words, but this is an intense time to be job-seeking. It has been several months now, but somehow I have managed to remain positive. Okay, gotta get back to Microsoft Word for the time being.

Peace,
avril
