Oklahoma Hall of Fame

Postby emilyg » Thu Oct 26, 2006 11:05 am

Just thought I would share that 2 Okemah boys are being inducted in the Oklahoma Hall of Fame this year - one of them being Woody Guthrie of course. I would so be there if Ellis was performing! I think it would be perfect for him to play God's Promise!! Anyway, it is Nov.16th if anyone is interested in going and those of you Okies out there it will air on OETA Saturday, November 18 at 8:00 p.m.

That's great! I'd like to go but I'll probably just catch it on OETA. Thanks for the info emily.

Great news Emily! Who's the other Okemah boy besides Woody? :)

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.
