Ellis IS a god!

Postby emilyg » Mon Nov 15, 2010 4:30 pm

Just had to share a funny story. Yesterday at church we pointed to a painting of Jesus and asked our 2 year old who it was. She contemplated for a second and said 'It's Ellis!'. We know she has him on a pedestal but we had no idea he was this high!

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Karen, we are still laughing about it!! I think it's one I'm going to have to write down as one of my favorite quotes!
