Folks,
Here's a link to nice article published last week in the Austin American-Statesman about one of my favorite venues, The Blue Door, in Oklahoma City. EP content too!

The Blue Door
"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Re: The Blue Door
Terrific article! Becky took us to the Blue Door a few years ago, just to show us where it was and what it looked like - I was a tad surprised to see that it was so unprepossessing. Great news about the donor who has made funds available for refurbishments. It sure has a fantastic heritage and one day perhaps I'll get to see a show there.
