Pittsburgh Marathon - May 3, 2009 (Dusty Sighting)

Postby KarenZ » Mon May 04, 2009 5:35 pm

Folks,

As I mentioned HERE, I was a spectator at yesterday's Pittsburgh Marathon. Here's a photo of Sue Ellen aka Dusty at mile number 15 along Walnut Street in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Shadyside. What you may not be able to see is that Ellis drew a picture of Dusty on her shirt, just to the left of the top "GO". :D And Dusty tried! And finished in 4 hours, 23 minutes!

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

So...if I ever qualify for Boston and run it, do you think I can get all y'all to come cheer me on?
