Question re: deadhead story

Postby KarenZ » Mon Mar 23, 2009 11:52 am

Friends,

Help me out here because I am drawing a complete blank. When EP used to do the airplane pilot/deadhead story......I'm pretty sure it was always the preface to one particular song....and I can't for the life of me remember which song! Do any of you guys remember? Was it TWASD? No....that was the cell phone story....criminy....this is awful..... :(

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

what's that old ellis paul lyric???

you know i'm getting older, I don't have to justify myself to you.....

Karen.....thanks for asking a guy who has it on the tip of his tongue but falling just short.....

I am getting older.... But that's no excuse!!

I would swear it was TWASD only because the song relates the brevity and preciousness of life....

the deadhead pilot story ellis told frequently about going down in a plane would have served the song well.

that's all i got right now
