My 7 year old son Knox has been EP's number one fan since he was 3. He knows every word to every song. We have memories and pictures of many shows including visiting Ellis and his family when he performed in his backyard in ME 3 years ago. Since then, Knox acquired a sister who is now 3. Her song is "My name is Robert Wilson". We are so excited to see EP at the Club Passim this New Year's Eve. Can't believe it's been a year since we have attended a show. The whole family is experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Our favorite pasttime is cranking EP cds in the car, windows rolled down, in the dark of night and singing about love, guns, sweet mistakes and blacktop trains in a state of hypnotic bliss....even Halloween night was not complete until we completed this ritual in costume after trick-or-treat......every drive we take, every trip is all about the music and we always take the long way home. Thanks for listening....

i don't know if ellis realizes the impact he and his music have had on my family. not to do overkill but not only has he set my young son on a lifelong musical journey into the land of folk but ellis' music has become the glue that binds us; it draws us together spiritually, emotionally and sensually.....it truly is an amazing phenomenon.
can anybody out there relate?
