Ever heard of that girl? Hailing from South Dakota, living in Chicago, Il, Rachel Ries is one my favborite songwritresses, along with Anais Mitchell and Devon Sproule. She has a brand new CD/Lp out on SoDak Records, called "Without a Bird".

Her debut, actually second, album was For You Only and is real gem. "Prairie folk" is what she calls it and it is just as fresh as you can imagine.



She also performs with Anais Mitchell, Louis Ledford and Robert Blake as Tin Pan Caravan
