It's kind of funny how I discover the music of new artists, sometimes. Today it was an e-newsletter from Club Cafe in Pittsburgh (Ellis Paul plays there October 18th, 2007) and I opened it to see this month's Calendar.

Stumbled upon Joshua James, who plays the club this Wednesday night (October 3rd) and was intrigued enough by what I read of his bio to venture over to his myspace stuff and I'm telling you here and now that I'm really liking what I read and hear thus far. I see by his tour dates that he's opening several upcoming shows for Erin McKeown, one of which is at Tin Angel in Philly this Friday night.

I won't catch him this time around, as my sights are on another show across town where Bill Deasy headlines at Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville for the first time along with very special guest Liz Longley.

So much little time. If you happen to see this fellow from Utah by way of Lincoln, Nebraska, kindly share a few words, and thanks in advance, as always. :)
