Re: Don Conoscenti
Well it was quite an experience finally seeing Don Conoscenti solo. It may have been the first, but it won't be the last. Not that I expected anything different, but he is so funny, nice and TALENTED. The videos I have on youtube don't do him justice... but I put some up there.. seeing Don 5 feet away from you is really special.
Some of the sounds seem to be a little loud and buzzy in the guitar... but if you turn down the volume a bit it is not so bad..
ENJOY..

Re: Don Conoscenti
Post WoodyFest Don plays a house concert at The Chouse in Norman, OK and last night it was packed out. A converted church, such a brilliant venue and I'm estimating that there were 80 -100 people there.
His band was Patrick Turnmire, Patrick Nehar, Butch Morgan, Terry Ware and Dean Brown.
The evening remembered Becky, it would have been her 55th birthday; all her family were there and we celebrated with a cake preceded by Don singing 'The Other Side' - so moving.
Incredible musicianship throughout, you'd think that they had been playing together for years, the way they riff with each other.
Don played a great selection of his songs including a brand new song he'd written with Ellis and Sam Baker 'She's a big, big, deal'
Some stunning covers too 'American Girl' by Tom Petty 'Vigilante Man' by Woody Guthrie and 'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen. An (approx) 8pm start and a finish at (approx) 11.30pm. Two long sets with an interval for birthday cake and 'chatting' or 'visiting' as you say in America.
Don's CD 'Turn Here' had practically sold out at WoodyFest but he held a few copies back for last night and they all went.
A wonderful, wonderful evening.

Re: Don Conoscenti
I am tickled pink! Last week I sent a FB message to Bob Patterson (BPA Live) suggesting he play a Don Con track on his weekly show, I suggested 'Beautiful Valley' or 'Echo' or 'The Other Side' and yesterday he played 'The Other Side' - great to hear Don Con being played over here!
You can listen here to the show. Don's is the fourth track in, once the programme has finished downloading you can fast forward to any of the tracks. Enjoy!

Found a video on YouTube of Don singing All In Time on the recent UK tour with Sam Baker. This is from a show in Chorley, Lancs. I saw him play it in London.
Enjoy!
