I see Eric is opening for Antje at the Tin Angel in Philly so I figured I'd post his info.

I really love his music and his quirky sense of humor. Not sure how he'll be recieved in the folk scene, but if you're going to see Antje get there early for Eric!!

Eric either opened or headlined Eagleview outdoor last summer and the co bill was a guy named Mutla. While i didn't leave with a CD of Either artist that night, I do remember enjoying both artist's sound very much.

I saw him play with Mutlu as well. Not really my cup of tea. He did sing a song in Turkish that was both pretty and interesting, but.....He sang a song about uhm, how do I put this? Using candy in a romantic setting. I couldn't help myself, I laughed when he sang about nougat and caramel on his body.

I felt because I said something negative about an artist. Not because of the song itself. If I don't enjoy someone, I try to keep my mouth shut.

Although I do have a bit of a sun kissed look about me. Until I finish peeling that is.

Paddy, I'm glad you like my avatar. I did find some pics of upside down little guys, but they were of actual road kill and it just wasn't funny. Kinda gross actually.

Back on topic.....

The first time I saw Eric I had to walk by the stage to get to the ladies room and he stopped me and started a dialogue right in the middle of his song. Funny, when I looked over, my friends had abandoned me and were hiding in the loo.

Yep I do like that colorful lil fellow all full of life and all...so rare.

Gosh I feeel as if I was at that show when Eric stopped you on your way to the loo.... or at least I've been to shows when other artists have done the same thing...or maybe it was even Eric last summer at Eagleview. It's really a crowd pleaser...well for everyone except the poor girl who needs to go in more ways than one.

I know you felt "special " after that but I'm afraid I have to confess:

I think he says that to all the girls.

Eric will be doing a residency in Boston. Starting 16 October he is playing every Monday at The Paradise Lounge.
