Missed many a chance to see this living legend around Philly......
While I have met folks who were fans, I never really knew the man or his music. Many's the time I'd see his name on the bill at Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville and many's the time I said I'll have to catch him there someday. That chance, sadly, has now passed me by. I hope any of his fans reading this thread on the forum will share their thoughts and words. While I knew "almost" none of his music -- I was surprised to learn that Robert Hazard had penned the song "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" made famous by Cyndi Lauper way back in the day. I'm sure it was but a footnote to this man's music, songbook, and career. Condolences out to his family, friends, and fans.

Robert's record released last year was very fine. Called troubadour, some wicked good songs, including the title-track which you can hear on his Myspace page. Eric Andersen sings on it.
