Fan Photo of the Week - April 23, 2007

Postby KarenZ » Sun Apr 22, 2007 8:20 pm

Folks,

Many thanks to Stuart Ferguson for submitting the oldest Fan Photo to date. We're talking pre-digital-age so Stuart scanned the print and e-mailed it to me. Even though the clarity isn't the best, it's a terrific shot. More amazing is that Stuart says he's pretty sure they were warming up on "Look at the Wind Blow" - deduced from Ellis' capo position and the fact that he has the harp rack up.

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Great photo - the colours give it a very atmospheric feel. Thanks for taking the trouble to scan etc so that we can all enjoy it here on the board.

The fan photos of the week are such a great idea and I'm sure there are many others like me who really look forward to seeing the new photo each week.

Keep 'em coming!

Jela
