Ellis Paul Discussion Board Posting Guidelines

Folks,

Pay special attention to #1 asking that subject lines be descriptive of what the thread is about. This will make it much easier months from now to go back and find former postings. For example, threads in the Looking for My Friends forum should contain/include an artist's name as the subject line.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation! :)

By registering for the Ellis Paul Discussion Board and receiving your password, you are now a Member of the Board. The Ellis Paul Discussion Board is moderated. To remain in good standing, Members must abide by the Posting Guidelines listed below. Members who do not comply with the Posting Guidelines risk having their membership terminated.

POSTING GUIDELINES:

1. Subject lines should be clear and descriptive of what the posting is about.

2. Avoid Off Topic postings. Postings that have nothing to do with the subject/thread may be moved, edited or deleted at the moderator's discretion.

3. Post about the subject/thread at hand, not about the member who has posted.

4. Do not impersonate another member.

5. Postings should not be harassing, embarrassing, name calling, threatening, obscene, pornographic or violent.

6. Postings should not have the express purpose of advertising or solicitation. This is considered SPAM.

7. Use the Private Message feature when appropriate. If you have something personal to say to someone posting in a thread, send that user a Private Message.
8. Do not use the Private Message feature to SPAM registered users with promotional materials.

9. Do not type in all CAPS. This is considered shouting in cyberspace.

10. Show photos should be posted in an online album rather than as individual pictures to minimize bandwidth.

11. Do NOT copy original thoughts posted on this board onto another discussion board without the author's permission.

These guidelines have been developed to help ensure that being a member of the Ellis Paul Discussion Board is an enjoyable experience. We look forward to your participation!

Karen - thanks very much ! I'll try to be careful with my thread titles - sometimes I forget that what is clear in my head (and is there really anything clear in my head ????) might not be obvious to everyone else.

Does #4 mean I have to stop impersonating you again ? ;) My psychiatrist thinks this is really helping me work out some issues....

That's exactly what it means :!: If you start saying Ellis is swoonworthy, I'm booting you outta here :!:

Oh yeah. It was a girl who brought up the subject of naked men standing behind trees and guitars. ;)

Hey Jeff, help, I think were in trouble here.

Something tells me we're not going to be looking for animals found in Ellis Paul songs whilst Karen is away this time. :

Nothing in the Board Guidlines forbids discussing pictures of naked men. :P

Tennis is my thing!! Was at Wimbledon yesterday and am going again tomorrow. The World Cup final is on the same day as the Wimbledon men's final and fortunately for Richard and I the timing doesn't clash otherwise we'd be having a row about whose TV choice wins - Tennis or Football????

Karen, I was just defending myself. It appears that I am percieved as a trouble maker. :P

I was not the one who posed holding only a guitar. I am also not the one who posted a picture of Mr. Red Shorts. I am mearly an innocent message board member. Practically angelic.

P.S. Have you met my friend Figo?

Mr. Red Shorts? Is he related to Mr. Green Jeans? If so, then, this must be the Captain Kangaroo discussion board!

As Mr. Rogers would say...."It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood."

I don't believe Mr Green Jeans and Mr Red Shorts have anything in common!!

I do like this neighborhood very much though. 8)

Jela! so sorry! Mr. Green Jeans is a character on the children's TV show here called Captain Kangaroo. The character was a farmer who always wore green overalls. I was never a big Captain Kangaroo fan.

Bonnie, I wouldn't mind meeting your friend Figo...Can you work something out?

We also have Le Tour underway. Fortunately I was able to catch the tail-end of the Peloton today  Those guys have some nice assets too.

Zut alors, you are really testing my high school French.

You and I might have a conflict on Wednesday. :? I fear I am going to be cheering for Portugal. They have caught my attention this cycle.

I guess I should put this in the World Cup thread.

That's me, an evil threadjacker!! :P

Paddy - we are in so much trouble here the best thing to do is to say nothing on this thread.... I'll just get myself in deeper. In fact, posting this much will probably get me in trouble......

We know who the REAL trouble-maker is and we are keeping an eye on him. So be very, very careful...Big Sister is watching...

Are you sure about that? I guess that conclusion does have a certain truthiness about it...Are you sure you want to stay complacent in your little delusion of comfort?

Okay, boys and girls, or maybe just girls...behave yourselves. At least I am not tagged as the troublemaker.

Folks,

I found it necessary to add another posting guideline to our list. Please note #11. I hope I've made it clear. To elaborate, if Jane Doe posts a show report (original thoughts) here on the Ellis Paul board, please don't copy and paste Jane Doe's show report onto another discussion board without getting her permission. If Jane Doe posts a link to an article she thinks we might like, feel free to cross-post the link onto another board - but it wouldn't be necessary to mention any names. I hope that makes sense.
