A silent auction of Ellis Paul’s original artwork created especially for the 2013 Woody Guthrie Folk Festival held in Okemah, OK. will take place this week during the festival. Bids - starting at $1000 - will be accepted during the day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the History Center (407 W. Broadway) and on Saturday evening in the Media Tent (Pastures of Plenty). The 30” x 36” framed original artwork will be on display at both bid locations.

The silent auction is scheduled to end at 9pm local time on Saturday, July 13. Before Ellis’ Saturday night performance, the winner of the auction will be announced and Ellis will present the artwork to the high bidder (if he/she is in attendance). As a member of the Advisory Board of the Woody Guthrie Coalition, Ellis has generously donated his original artwork to be used as a fundraiser to support the Coalition, an Oklahoma not-for-profit corporation.

For those unable to participate in the silent auction, high-quality 18” x 24” posters of Ellis’ design will be on sale for $10 where festival merchandise is sold.

Note: Approximately 20 of the 100 numbered and signed Ellis Paul posters from 2012 are still available and will also be on sale at the festival. These limited edition centennial celebration posters will be on sale for $35 where festival merchandise is sold.
