Hey that is a cute photo but I'm sure I'm a bit biased!! Lindsay really likes Ellis's music a lot. And she took him at his word at playing that CD loudly!! That was her first EP concert (and it was VERY hot*) she has seen him a few times since. I'm thinking of hopping in the car tomorrow with Lindsay to visit family and go to a Lori Mckenna / Mark Erelli concert in the Philly area. Seeing this photo and remembering how much Lindsay likes folk music may have been the little push I needed to make up my mind... It was Lindsay who recognized Ellis' voice singing back up on Fireflies that got me to buy LM cd. I've been a big fan of hers ever since!!
**I'm cracking up remembering when Ellis had the fan blowing on him, first at his feet! then at his head... He said"I fell like the Breek (?) girl from the 70's!!!"

I guess you would have to know Breek is a line of hair products :)

I forgot about the Breck Girl!! :D

I remember Ellis coming out during the interval to turn the fan towards us until he needed it.

Patti,

Happy to hear your daughter led you to Lori Mckenna thru fireflies. It's one our son used to sing and want to hear over and over.

Will you be wearing your EPLP at the Lori/Mark show on Tuesday? Let's figure out a way to say hello. You know KarenZ is coming to Exton for this show, so it would be great to see and chat and maybe even sit together up front.

Send me a PM if ya see this and we can figure it out.

I had NO idea Karen would be at this show!!! She probably mailed my lapel pins the other day, but I haven't rec'd them in the mail yet....

In order to get away I need to work out some rides for my older daughter for field hockey camp and High School orientation for the rest of the week, along with a few other scheduling conflicts... But I SO want to go, I'm thinking it will work out. I'll be in touch!!

Thanks Patti, hope it works out for you and you're able to break away for this one. As big a fan as I am of Lori Mckenna, I've laid eyes on her only twice and both on tv.

Well, besides the obvious CD photos, of course.

First time was when she appeared on Oprah.

Second was on Sig Sounds 10th Anniversary Concert DVD. She sang one of my faves.....POUR.

This will be a concert I've been waiting a very long time to attend.

Hope to see ya there. Let us know. :D
