Ellis on Saturday Light Brigade - Aug. 1, 2009

Postby KarenZ » Tue Jul 28, 2009 2:05 pm

Folks,

Ellis will be a special guest and will perform live on Pittsburgh's Saturday Light Brigade this Saturday Aug. 1, 2009 at 11amEST.

The Saturday Light Brigade is a radio program featuring acoustic music and family fun. Broadcast since 1978, it is one of the longest-running public radio programs in the United States. It includes quality music, on-air telephone calls from kids and adults, innovative participatory puzzles and games, and interesting guests. Kids listen with adults, adults listen with kids, and everyone has fun listening to the radio together!

The Saturday Light Brigade is broadcast live from 6am to 12pm EST on Saturday mornings and originates live from the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. You can listen live (or listen to archived podcasts) at slbradio.org or on the following radio stations in and around Pittsburgh:

WRCT 88.3 FM Pittsburgh
WSAJ 91.1 FM Grove City
WLFP 1550 AM
WIUP 90.1 FM Indiana

Should be lots of fun! :-)

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Oh I am listening in and hear that Ellis is not well and won't be on the show. Best wishes Ellis for a speedy recovery.
