Here's a link to an article in the Sun Journal promoting the show at The Maple Room on Dec. 28.

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Somebody has been reading the forum.....
I really enjoyed the write up, and have to say my favorite part, beside the nod to fans who make pilgimages to see Ellis all over the place, is the nod to Ellis' new song "Dragonfly Races" where she compares it to Peter, Paul, and Mary's "Puff The Magic Dragon."
My thoughts exactly after a few spins of the new record, that Ellis had created a song and character every bit as whimsical as "Puff, The Magic Dragon."
I meant to put it into words out here on the forum, and it looks like I've been scooped. So today, I say simply, I second that emotion!!!
Love the piece...thanks, Karen, for the link.
