YouTube videos - Speed of Trees, Maria, God's Promise

Postby mm » Sun Sep 02, 2007 9:58 pm

I've posted some new YouTube clips, which are selections from a set of Mostly Rock 'N Roll shows we filmed with Ellis in approximately 2003 at the Circle of Friends Coffeehouse in Franklin, MA.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSaWVrnXvRI (Speed of Trees)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqusYpnF65Q (Maria's Beautiful Mess)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL8ExXN4Ec4 (God's Promise)

(In the near future, I plan to post some of Flynn on my YouTube page as well.)

Monica

All 3 videos (especially the 2 where you interview Ellis) are fantastic. Talk about the archives, man oh man, I hope there are plenty more where these came from....thanks for sharing them.

What a nice treat to wake up to on Labor Day....Ellis being interviewed about a career highlight (Woody Guthrie archives) followed by the song performed in concert. And to hear Ellis give just a little more of the back story to Speed Of Trees in your interview w/him was great. Nice to see Ellis performing Maria's Beautiful Mess too from a few year's back. :D

Monica - thank you so much for posting these three links. All of them are great and the sound quality is superb. Just makes me want to get to another Ellis live show asap!!!

Thank you Monica! I waited all day to be able to listen and watch uninterrupted and it was so worth the wait. Great audio and visual quality...a most enjoyable Ellis "experience"!

Monica,

Like Mtn Gal I waited until I could watch all 3 uninterrupted. All I can say is WOW! What a way to start the work week. ;) Thank you! :D

There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Thanks, you guys.... Ellis is a true professional. These are three of my favorite songs of his and I LOVE that I can help share his music in this way and on the airwaves. Everytime he has aired, people have written or emailed me about him.

I'll be eventually posting more.

Monica -- just in from my backyard, where I watched these 3 youtube videos of Ellis at Circle of Friends on my laptop for about the third time in two days. All I kept thinking was I need to get back on Ellis' website and thank you, again.

The clarity of the recordings, both visually and audibly, are some of the best I've seen anywhere, and I can see why Speed Of Trees, God's Promise, and Maria's Beautiful Mess are three of your favorites. They have just become three of this fan's favorites, too!!!

Keep up the great work, and please do grace the forum with a few more of these Ellis Paul/MostlyRocknRoll absolute gems. The other thing that came to mind was that I need to place a big screen tv out in back and invite neighbors over to watch these outstanding performances. It really felt like my own private drive-in movie experience -- and could only get better with larger than life screen and sound.
