Hi Everyone,

NO... I was not there :( , but Marissa was and she posted the setlist to the setlist site !!!! YAY!!!

I have loaded it into the staging area and I will be reloading the database in the next few days so it will post.

Sounds like it was a GREAT show....

Here is what she posted in the show comments:

Ellis was wearing a black western-style button-down shirt with white embroidery that became a running joke throughout the evening. He told the story of his Woody Guthrie tattoo and the Woody Guthrie poster on the wall of the Tavern.

Setlist:

Sweet Mistakes
Speed of Trees
God's Promise
Maria's Beautiful Mess
Alice's Champagne Palace
Last Call
3000 Miles
Home
Rollaway Bed
Jukebox On My Grave
Snow In Austin
Blacktop Train
Change (Sam Baker)
Here She Is
Martyr's Lounge
Words
Angel In Manhattan
Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash)
Kristian's Song (WOW!)
The World Ain't Slowing Down
Conversation With A Ghost

Looks like a GREAT show.... I hope that Marissa will find her way over here to tell us more about it!

It's so fun to be getting lists from around the country!

Shari,

Great news! Yee haw! I'm in Chicago and will definitely post the setlist from tonight's show at Schubas. :)

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Story of "Baby Dee?"

According to the liner notes on Essentials, Baby Dee is the drag queen that inspired him to write Angel in Manhattan.

Now that you have succeeded in winning a copy, you will be able to read the story yourself!! :D
