Nazareth Center for the Arts - April 25, 2014

Postby KarenZ » Wed Apr 30, 2014 9:45 am

Sorry so long, sorry so few.....

It was a beautiful day for a drive across the state of Pennsylvania to see Ellis Paul perform at the lovely Nazareth Center for the Arts. I got to hear several new songs from the soon-to-be-released Chasing Beauty as well as some older favorites. It was a very enthusiastic crowd who especially showed their enthusiasm on the sing-a-longs: Kick Out the Lights and The World Ain't Slowing Down. :D Someone requested the new song Wasted, so that was a nice surprise too. Ellis lamented the loss of vehicle CD players and had a record player on stage with him....which he used to play a bit of The Beatles White Album. Turns out that Chasing Beauty will also be released on vinyl! 8)

Hope to see some of you out on the Ellis trail....

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.
