it was a great show. i'm sorry i never reviewed it. i even go so many perfect pictures that i am still trying to get the album small enough to post.
some highlights:
the show was in a church, so the piano was on the floor in front of the pews. ellis made a front row fan move when he played, because he was not willing to show his hands to such an accomplished pianist.
after making a comment about liberace and needing a candelabra, a fan a few rows back pulled out an electric candle to place on the piano for mood lighting.
i didn't get a set list. but he did 2 sets and flynn joined him onstage for a few songs. as always, they did let it be. i have heard ellis sing this with many musicians, but there is something about the way their voices mix that makes it a perfect duet for the two,
