It felt very odd to be in Becky Grider's hometown without her. Ellis once again dedicated the show to her. Becky's daughter-in-law's parents - who happened to be visiting from England - were in the audience representing the Grider family. Terry Ware was in the audience and accompanied Ellis and Don on several songs, playing bass guitar on songs 7, 8, 9, 10, 18, 19, 20. Monica Taylor was also in the audience and sang harmony on "Dragonfly" and "Minior Key" (she actually took the last verse). It was Lovely. Dean Brown added percussion on "river road". Don sang "The Other Side" and dedicated it to Becky. I don't think there was a dry eye.

Becky's memorial service the following morning was held at the First Presbyterian Church - literally just a few blocks from The Chouse. During the service, Don once again sang "The Other Side". Later in the service Ellis sang "God's Promise". Two of Becky's favorites. The service was perfect in every way. I know she is pleased at how it all worked out.

This is so amazingly beautiful. In my heart, I knew you and Ellis and Don were probably so comforting and healing to those around you and to one another. The other thing is how much God's Promise was running through my head ever since the day I heard the news that we had lost Becky. Even in our far away-ness and in thought and prayer, I think we are all still connected...stay strong and know what a help you all were to Tony.
