Kiva House Concert - Billerica, MA - June 14, 2009

Folks,

Here's a nice blog report with pictures from Saturday's Kiva House Concert posted by long-time EP fans Drew & Allison:

Ellis Paul – Kiva House Concert

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

This one was so close, yet so far...I was hoping to be able to be here but time is so precious, I hate having to choose..

Nice to read and see it. Thanks for sharing..

It was great! I was able to get there, as was Susan H.
Ellis' car died in Tim's driveway and had to be towed during the concert, which he was watching sorta while playing. Never a dull moment.
Such a true professional. Ralph and Rachel were there, and it was full room. Nice! Weather too iffy for outdoors.
Ellis sounded fantastic and we got to hear a cut from the new CD, a wonderful rockin' version of AnnaLee....very much wanting to be radio played in my opinion!

Thanks for the extra behind the scenes of a travelling troubador, Monica. I remember hearing that Ellis' transmisson went out on the tour bus....uh....Honda. I swear Honda should sponsor Ellis as many miles as he travels in their cars....

Anna Lee rocks acoustic I can't wait to hear it rockin! 8)

Just to say thanks for the reports from the road. I love going to House Concerts and this one sounds like a very special one.

Did anyone keep a setlist? Do I have to get the wet noodle out? :D

Oh, Karen, you know me....I'm not as organized as you and the others. I was lucky I remembered to turn my cell phone off let alone have an extra piece of paper...hee-hee. But I DID make it on time despite the other event I was at that afternoon! I did think I saw Susan scribbling from where I was a few rows behind her, so maybe she'll come through. I can remember some if not....but NOT in order
Rattle My Cage
Words
Speed of Trees
Martyr's Lounge
AnnaLee
Summertime
Waking Up to Me
Blacktop Train
Jukebox
Wabi-Sabi

that's probably only half. I'll stew on the others and repost...

I remembered some others:
Way Over Yonder in a Minor Key
God's Promise
The Day After Everything Changed
Hurricane Angel (I THINK he played this one, but now not sure)
Rose Tattoo
The World Ain't Slowing Down

Some of these I remembered this morning....better late than never.
