I wish I could be there, Bonnie, but I'm booked this weekend. Hanging on to that May date in Kingston with both hands!

Wish I could be there too....especially the added bonus of dear Mr. Adam! My son's 13th birthday will be celebrated that night with a group of his friends sleeping over...

No chance of them falling asleep early and you sneaking out? Yeah, didn't think so.
I guess Susan and I will have to represent the Board faithful. I will hopefully have 2 Ellis newbies in tow.

Monicar I think you should leave a bunch of 13 year old boys alone in the house with your 17 year old in charge.... not...
Oh well I won't be there either, but I do have my spot reserved for the Kingston show..

Hmmm, though he only turns 13 once. The other option is to quickly finish that unfinished physics experiment that allows me to be in two places at once. Still not done with that one yet.
Miss you all and hope to see you at a future one!

The on-air host just said again that the ticket giveaway will be "sometime later this afternoon"......although he just played MBM (from Essentials) a few minutes ago. I'm still flying.....

Re: north andover, ma this saturday! (March 14, 2009)
Sometimes I feel that my reviews are boring because they are all the same. Amazing show. Best ever. Blah Blah Blah. I will give it a try anyway.
We pulled up and there was a sign saying Sold Out. It didn't help. People still kept streaming in begging for tickets, not believing that the show was really sold out. We got there extremely early because, well, I always get there ridiculously early. I think we surprised the people running the place. While we were first in line, it was only by about 5 minutes. If you're reading this Mr. Second Place In Line, thank you for the gloves.
This was your typical coffee house in a Unitarian Church set up. Folding chairs in a large room with cookies, cakes and coffee available downstairs. This is the first place I have been to that has foam seat cushions to borrow. Since I spent most of this week on a heating pad instead of at work, my back will be forever grateful.
Adam Ezra opened the show. I think it is time to start a thread for him over in Looking For My Friends.
Ellis did one long set. Susan took down the setlist. He started off with a bunch of new songs, moving between guitar and piano. The sound in the room was exceptional and he came into the audience for 3000 Miles. He was joined by Flynn on a few songs, and then again during the encore. (yay!!) During his introduction to Jukebox on My Grave, Ellis mentioned his wishes for his final resting place. A cup of his cremated ashes are to be scattered on the floor of Club Passim. I really enjoyed Walking After Midnight/Change, he snuck in an extra verse from Change. In my group, I had 2 Ellis newbies, and they walked out new fans. Of course that was to be expected.
