Hey Ya'll:
Really nice and active public library in Marquette. A lot of people doing a lot of good work there. The family show was in the Community Room and Ellis had a really nice turn out. The show was sponsored by a legacy grant from the library and supported by the Hiawatha Music Co-Op (the promoters for Saturday night's show). Nice sized group of kids and adults. Lots of fun and happy smiles all around.
Here's Ellis set list:
1. The Cat Came Back
2. Wabi-Sabi
3. Because Its There
4. Road Trip
5. The Bed Song
6. The Dragonfly Races
7. My Mother Popped Out (Poem)
8. I Like to Swing
9. This Land Is Your Land
10. Million Chameleon March
11. I've Been Working On the Railroad/She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain
By the way, the show was at no cost to attendees, thanks to the library grant and Hiawatha Music Co-Op. They tempted us with their annual music festival - one that Ellis has played before.
We left Marquette at 2:45 and made it home by 10:00 pm, which was good and we were more fortunate that Ellis was the night before, missing any run-ins with State Troopers.
Five weeks (+/-) until the next EP show, so a case of PELDS is sure to find us soon.
Talk to ya'll later.
