Avogadro's--Ft.Collins, CO show

Postby trailblder » Fri Jul 28, 2006 7:03 pm

What can I say? Fantastic....Between Darryl's rougher high pitched melodic twang, Ellis' acoustical prowess, and my Fat Tire in a glass....crickets chirping...and only about 35-40 people....
I don't think the night could have gotten any better...except when Ellis and Darryl make the rounds and talk to everyone.
Maria's Beautiful Mess and the Matyr's Lounge sounded unbelievable....and the "crowd" as it were, went nuts for a duet of "Ring of Fire."
Can't wait for the next Fort Collins stop!!

Thanks Ellis and Darryl!!!!

So nice to hear about shows west of the Mississippi :!: Ellis and DonCon did an amazing "ring of fire" at the Cactus in Austin 3 weeks ago - so I can only imagine.... :) Thanks for the report!

"Some people are born to make great art and others are born to appreciate it. It is a kind of talent in itself, to be an audience, whether you are the spectator in the gallery or you are listening to the voice of the world's greatest soprano. Not everyone can be the artist. There have to be those who witness the art, who love and appreciate what they have been privileged to see." -- Ann Patchett in Bel Canto.

Trailbldr, thanks for the report tonight on the show at avacado's...oops sorry that's one of my favorite foods in life when mixed just right into a fine dip called guacamole. Could sure go for some good guac right now with an ice cold flat tire beer....oops that's fat tire beer, which I discovered in Ballard, Washington at the Tractor Tavern one night. Funny, for months after that I would try to order a flat tire beer and folks would look at me funny. Ya know, the one with the bicycle on the label.....oh fat tire they would always say. Still I called it flat tire for ages.

Welcome to the discussion board my fat tire drinkin Ellis and Darryl appreciatin new poster on the new EPDB.

Nice inaugural post if ever I saw one.

Happy trails :!:
