Molly Malone's (fka Jack Quinn) - Covington KY - 11/30/07

Postby AndaleOrbea » Sun Dec 02, 2007 1:02 am

The show in Covington (Cincinnati area) was crazy. The venue was the third floor of the bar. The crowd was bigger than the previous two nights, Natilia Zukerman opened for EP, and EP had competition from a sorority party on the second floor - they cranked the music up so loud that it came through the floor. Ellis did a great job playing his way through the competition and the big hits were Calendar Man, Blacktop Train (where the crowd stomped on the floor to drown out the 'tribal' music played downstairs) and The World Ain't Slowin Down as EP tried to match the downstairs back-beat. When Ellis introduced Jukebox On My Grave - someone asked about seeing Emerson's grave - EP said
You mean Ralph Waldo Emerson? Isn't he buried in Concord, MA? Yeah, I guess I've see it, but he's not really one of my heroes
Big laughs here! It was a lot of fun... We (the FastWoman and I) had a great time!
